Biosafety
Biosafety is a complete program of recognition, evaluation, and control to minimize the health risk of students, faculty, staff, and the public from potential exposure to recombinant DNA and bio-hazardous materials that are used in the research and teaching activities at COFC. The program is based on government regulations, guidelines, and current professional standards.
Research requiring Biosafety Level 3 or 4 containment is not conducted at the College of Charleston.
